Our business has existed for close to 20 years trading as Glenwood Buildings Pty Ltd before changing our name in 2003 to Hunter Buildings Pty Ltd.
Our current facility at Sandringham Avenue Thornton has a labour team of around 20 people ranging from apprentices to trade qualified boilermakers who have a vast number of years experience within the industry.
Hunter Buildings prides itself on the fact that we have a very low turnover in our labour force which in itself is a testament to how our operation is run, with both loyalty to our employees as well as our customers.
The company has extensive experience with all types of fabrication work from single heavy portal frame buildings to open webb truss buildings. We offer a quality control on all our projects.
We not only manufacture but also have our own in-house erection crew who have a number of years experience in erecting structural steel as well as pre cast concrete panels.
We have supplied buildings across Australia and we have a strong repeat business record from our customers.

All the principles in Hunter Buildings Pty Ltd have had in excess of 20 years experience in the building industry and a wealth of experience in the steel fabrication and manufacturing industry.

Our Workshop
Hunter Buildings Pty Ltd was originally incorporated to supply its own internal requirement for the supply of buildings and has now expanded to outside contracting offering a range of options including supply only, supply and erect or erect only. The company has the capacity to draft and engineer and has supplied in excess of 550 buildings during the past ten years.
Our company’s principle place of business is at the Thornton Industrial Estate, which is the Newcastle district. The Estate has been developed almost exclusively with buildings constructed by Hunter Buildings and presents many examples of innovative design and cost effective, high quality buildings.
Workshop Features:
- Brand new custom built workshop laid out to maximise productivity and safety.
- Large turnaround area for ease of access for truck loading and unloading to be carried out in a safe and timely manner.
